Areero a time-honored ceremonial site and its surrounding area:now a town as well. the the Amhara and there allies invaded Boranaland during Gaada Liban Jaldessa (1891-99), thy established their main military/administrative outpost at Arero district (Areero Awarajaa). it was only during the reign of Emperor Haile Selassie that Yaaballo was developed and become more important than Arero. ever since Liban become insecure.Arero has lives in the heart of Boranaland. the Qallu Oditu livein there area, the three Yaa Gaada are also based there, and most of the Gaada ceremonies are performed in the surrounding area, eg, Odaa Bulani and Baalli Irraa Fuudhani even daawwaa Taakkani. — Areero Gooraa Nagaa
